Upright cross stitch

This stitch consists of small interlocking vertical cross stitches.
Method
1
First make a vertical stitch across two canvas threads, then cross it with a horizontal stitch across two canvas threads

Make sure the top stitch is always horizontal.

Work the crosses in rows. The second row should fit into the spaces of the first.
