Hexagonal lozenge (pattern) main image

This pattern is made up of adjoining elongated hexagons with a long stitch through the centre. It is a fairly open pattern and works well horizontally or vertically.

Hexagonal lozenge (pattern) is generously sponsored by Susan Carlile

Method

1

Complete a row of vertical stitches over four threads of the fabric, each two fabric threads apart.

2

Continue with any subsequent rows needed to fill the area, each row should also be two fabric threads apart. Add each stitch in line with the previous row.

3

Then stitch a zig zag pattern between each row with the apex of the zig zag meeting alternate vertical stitches.

4

Continue to complete the area.
